Our work,
our philosophy
We firmly believe in fostering empowerment through meaningful work, creativity, experimentation, fun, and the intentional cultivation of supportive and positive relationships. We recognize and seek to address the challenges arising from diverse backgrounds, educational experiences, linguistic differences, and existing power dynamics. In our work, we prioritize active listening, hands-on learning for continuous growth, and clear communication.
Our mission extends beyond short-term programs and projects. We aim to create welcoming spaces for diverse experts to collaborate on creative advocacy and impactful programs. We work to develop innovative research approaches and evaluation methods to understand localized and contextualized challenges and refine goals for meaningful impact. By assisting organizations in developing long-term strategies, we bridge the gap between grassroots efforts and broader policy changes. We also seek to use these approaches and research to communicate complex and contextualized challenges to funders and other powerful stakeholders.
Our philosophy centers on building meaningful trust by recognizing power dynamics, respecting community knowledge, and understanding the complexities of the spaces we inhabit, online and offline. We're mindful of linguistic and cultural differences that influence our work. With a decade of experience in internet freedom and human rights communities, we've learned to foster relationships that enable us to work in solidarity with those we support. This approach, grounded in genuine connections and mutual respect, forms the foundation of our collaborations.
We reject the prevailing global structures, as they fail to reflect the realities of the majority of the world’s people. Our commitment is to challenge these ingrained structures of power and culture by embracing collaboration that respects differences while pushing for a more balanced exchange of ideas and experiences.
